| When I Don't Even Know Your Name Written by Raymond Lee Peltier ©2006 |
| You swept me off my feet, I did not stop to ask. Living for the moment, afraid to finish last. You left my bed at dawn, I found myself alone. Wishing you would call, I‘m waiting by the phone. Am I the one to blame? When I don‘t even know your name. I could never learn your past, by looking in your eyes. Consumed with emotions, you concealed it with a lie. The years drifting away, I wish I could face the fall. Remembering your smile, that‘s all I can recall. Can I be the one to blame? When I don‘t even know your name. A scene outside my window, reminds me of the games we played. Dreaming of the life I lead, now my life is fading away. A promising future, friends by my side. How one chance meeting can cut you up inside. As the sun is overcome by night, I can feel the darkness take away my sight. Again, am I the one to blame? When I don‘t even know your name. |
