Watch And Wait

All my life I was uncertain, never knowing where to turn.
Always searching, never finding, how my aching heart would yearn.
Through pain and desperation, I chose sin to fill my void.
Never thinking for one moment, all I needed was my Lord.

Another lonely night behind me, I awoke with no one there.
As the emptiness consumed me, I found myself in prayer.
I raised my hands up to the heavens as I fell upon my knees,
"Is there anybody out there who loves me just for me?"

"Watch and wait" He cried, "to take away your pain!"
"Watch and wait He Cried, "to guide you through the rain."
"Watch and wait" as I'm here to set your spirit free!"
"I love you so much, please come to Me."

I felt His love flow all around me as He wiped away my tears.
Every burden that I carried seemed to quickly disappear.
Then I begged Him to forgive me for a lifetime filled with sin,
And the peace of God swept through me as I gave my life to Him.

"Watch and wait" He cried, "to take away your pain!"
"Watch and wait He Cried, "to guide you through the rain."
"Watch and wait" as I'm here to set your spirit free!"
"I love you so much, please come to Me."
