| My Mother Is Gone Written by Raymond Lee Peltier ©2000 |
| My mother has gone into a world of light, And alone I'm sitting here; The memory of her is so very bright, But my thoughts are not so clear. She had a face that always glowed, Like the stars in Heaven above; She had a heart that always showed, Her kindness and her love. I remember the times when she would search, So many hours a day; And then she said she found a church, Where we could go and pray. Yes, my mother has gone into a world of light, My thoughts are now so clear; And though I know I won't see her tonight, I wish that she were here. |
