| Verse 1: I was sitting by the Ohio river, watching the fish swim by When all of a sudden, a frog said “hi”. I looked and saw him sitting by me Then he turned, singing a song out of key. Chorus: Goodbye dear friend with webbed feet, I said Let me not forget that day we had; A jamboree one glorious day Maybe, we will meet again another day. Verse 2: I laughed and giggled and started to dance To the song the frog sang of romance; I could not believe on this sunny bright day A frog said “hi” to me in his own way. Verse 3: They we were, by the trees and streams Having a jamboree of songs and things; Then there was a lady frog I did see Croaking for her friend, who danced with me. Verse 4: All of a sudden, he looked at me As to tell me, good friends forever will be; Then I watched them hop away I knew then, my friend the frog could not stay.
