My Friend, The Frog

Verse 1:  I was sitting by the Ohio river, watching the fish swim by
  When all of a sudden, a frog said “hi”.
   I looked and saw him sitting by me
  Then he turned, singing a song out of key.

Chorus:  Goodbye dear friend with webbed feet, I said
   Let me not forget that day we had;
   A jamboree one glorious day
   Maybe, we will meet again another day.

Verse 2:  I laughed and giggled and started to dance
   To the song the frog sang of romance;
   I could not believe on this sunny bright day
  A frog said “hi” to me in his own way.

Verse 3:  They we were, by the trees and streams
   Having a jamboree of songs and things;
   Then there was a lady frog I did see
   Croaking for her friend, who danced with me.

Verse 4:  All of a sudden, he looked at me
   As to tell me, good friends forever will be;
   Then I watched them hop away
   I knew then, my friend the frog could not stay.

Chorus: Goodbye dear friend with webbed feet, I said
  Let me not forget that day we had;
  A jamboree one glorious day
  Maybe, we will meet again another day.
