Life's Highway

As I travel down life’s highway
Lord, please take me by the hand;
And for all of life’s confusion
Please help me understand.

I have walked close behind you
Since you came into my heart;
I have tried to really please you
And from you I will never depart.

Lord, I have done so many things wrong
And for my sins I’m not proud to say;
But I always ask for your forgiveness
Each and every time I kneel and pray.

Now I am much older and wiser
As I should really be;
Please Lord forgive
And always watch over me.

Also bless my family and my loving wife
And to my many friends who have struggled through life;
Lord, give them blessings as you have given to me
May we all end up in Heaven throughout eternity.
