| I'm Just A Restless Traveler Written by Raymond Lee Peltier ©2008 |
| In all of my amazement...I just had to see Everywhere the air was new...that's where I wanted to be; Going east or a little west...a little north or south Just to see that next mile and what life was all about. Out on that horizon, a voice said to me "Let me show you something new, and let me set you free". Give a little of your time and I'll give you some of mine I traveled many roads alone never knowin' what I find. I'm just a restless traveler who has traveled the world round I've seen the best and worse in life, I rode its ups and downs; I flew the airs and I rode the rails, I even used my thumb I sweated during the summers, and during winters my body became numb. I'm getting older now, and I'm running out of time Still I wonder where the airs and roads go, I've grown a little blind; If I could do it all over again...I wouldn't miss the chance I would fly the airs and hit the roads, in life you've got to dance. I'm just a restless traveler who has traveled the world round I've seen the best and worse in life, I rode its ups and downs; One day I'll be thrown to the wind, my ashes in the breeze I'll see sites I never seen, and my spirit will finally be free. |
