| I Met Jesus Face To Face Written by Raymond Lee Peltier ©1988 Published in the Literary Anthology The National Library Of Poetry |
| I had walked life’s way, with greatest of ease Always crawling, begging, and asking please; Until one day in a quiet place, I met Jesus face to face. Striving toward fame, and wealth for my goal, Much thought for my body, but not for my soul; I had entered to win in life’s greatest race, Until I met Jesus face to face.. Tears and bruises, were in their place, No one else did I see but Jesus face; And then I cried aloud, as I sat on the seat, Looking down at Jesus feet. My thought is now for the souls of men I have lost my to find it again; Ever since that day in that quiet place, I met Jesus face to face. |
