| I Met Jesus Face To Face Written by Raymond Lee Peltier ©2005 |
| I had walked life’s highway, with greatest of ease Crawling and begging, n' asking please; Until one day in a quiet place, I met Jesus face to face. Striving toward fame, wealth was my goal, Much thought for my body, but not my soul; I had entered to win in life’s greatest race, 'Til I met Jesus face to face.. I met Him, knew Him, and rushed in to see My Saviors eyes were fixed upon me; I stumbled and fell, at His feet that day, My tears and bruises, all vanished away. Tears and bruises, had left not a trace No one else did I see, but my Saviors face; I cried aloud, as I kneeled in defeat, Looking down, at My Saviors feet. My thought is now for the souls of men I have lost my old life, re-born in Him; Ever since that day in that quiet place, I met Jesus face to face. I met Him, knew Him, and rushed in to see My Saviors eyes were fixed upon me; I stumbled and fell, at His feet that day, My tears and bruises, all vanished away. Ever since that day in that quiet place I met Jesus face to face. I met Jesus face to face. I met Jesus face to face. |
