| Sweetheart, today we’ve been married 35 years, And times has brought us happiness and tears; Through all the years there’s one thing I find, The woman I love is one of a kind. There have been plenty of hard times along the way, But we settled our problems day by day; For better or worse the vows we made, For a lifetime of love we chose to obey. I was blessed with three children that I adore, They are all part of you, so who could ask for more; Each one is so different and for that I am glad, It makes a good family, the best that could be had. In the first years of marriage love is so strong, It’s so easy and simple, to get along; But after 35 years the memories still glow, It’s an everlasting love that will never go. In the years that follow, times may be rough, Just hold my hand and that will be enough; Believe in God and He will carry us through, For 35 years and forever, I will always love you. |
