Because He Came

I was led to love to Calvary
Where I saw my soul's deep need,
At the place where Jesus bled and died,
There my heart from sin was freed.

Because He came, my heart is fully changed;
Because He came, my life is rearranged;
Because He came, I'll love Him and adore;
Because He came, I'll serve Him evermore.

I am led by love along life's way
Since the Spirit dwells within,
And no matter what befalls my path,
He'll give grace to conquer sin.

My life on earth is now a joy, a new song now my tongue employs
Since I've been cleansed from all my sin and shame;
And when I'm caught up in the air to live with Christ forever there,
I'll thank Him that to earth for me He came.

Because He came, my heart is fully changed;
Because He came, my life is rearranged;
Because He came, I'll love Him and adore;
Because He came, I'll serve Him evermore.
